Dotient processes all files locally on your computer. When you import files into Dotient:

• Files remain on your device—they are never uploaded to any external server
• AI embeddings are generated locally using quantized machine learning models
• Your files are analyzed for visual features (colors, patterns, objects) to enable search
• We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal files in the cloud

3. Local Storage

Dotient stores the following data locally on your machine:

• File metadata (filenames, paths, creation dates)
• AI-generated embeddings and color data for your files
• Your Cubbies (collections) and Notes
• Application settings and preferences

4. Third-Party Services

Dotient does not share your personal files or metadata with any third parties. The AI models used for embedding generation run entirely offline on your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Dotient is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
